Peace and fewer calamities
for the Philippines.
This is what Vice President Leni Robredo wished for the new
year.
She acknowledged that 2017 did not end well for Filipinos, that’s
why she wishes for two things.
(for me, it is not only one, but first, peace for our
country. Second, I hope there will be less calamities.)
Aside for a peaceful 2018, she also wished for zero violence
and killings for the Philippines.
Pilipino.” She said.
(So, my wish is that we are to avoid fighting, killings, and
we should unit as Filipinos.)
Robredo shared that she spent the holidays with her three daughters
- Aika, Tricia, and Jillian.
“Christmas and New Year have always been spent with Jesse’s
siblings and their families. This year was an exception,” Robredo said in her
Facebook post.
Robredo said that Filipinos were “very polarized” in the
past year and expressed her hopes that it will be different in 2018.
“Hindi naging maganda iyong 2017 as far as pagkakaisa is
concerned—masyadong polarized iyong mga Pilipino noong mga nakaraang buwan at
nakaraang taon,” she said.
She added that 2017 did not end well because of the
consecutive disasters that struck different parts of the country.
said.
