Tough-talking Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro “Teddyboy” Locsin, says Senator Antonio Trillanes IV and Rappler Chief Executive Officer Maria Ressa are both “full of shit.”
Locsin shared his perception about Ressa and Trillanes on a tweet in response to a netizen who described journalists like Ressa as potato, “Maria Ressa is a hyperbolic paraboloid potato chip.
Difficult to crack. Designed for stress.”
“You gotta give her that. Just like Trillanes. Full of shit but unbreakable. In short, a tough shit,” the Foreign Affairs Secretary tweeted on Tuesday, February 19.
Locsin also slammed Ressa earlier for allegedly playing victim over her arrest for a cyber libel case filed by a private citizen, a businessman named Wilfredo Keng.
Keng filed the complaint against Rappler over a “defamatory” article published in 2012.
“Rappler outcry proposes that journalists are entitled not just to Presidential immunity from suit during tenure but blanket immunity from so much as a hint of suspicion of wrongdoing let alone accusation of a crime. Not even Kings were so entitled as shown by their beheadings,” Locsin said
Ressa, on the other hand, posted a bail bond of P100,000 after spending a night in detention at the National Bureau of Investigation headquarters.
