Commission Commissioner (PACC) Manuelito Luna said Vice President Leni Robredo
may be charged an impeachment complaint if there is evidence that will prove
her alleged involvement in “Ang Totoong Narco List” video series after Bikoy’s latest claims.
The PACC Executive wants to call for an investigation over the
revelation ex-convict Peter Joemel Advincula that Senator Antonio Trillanes IV
and Liberal Party were allegedly behind the video series as part of an ouster
plot against President Rodrigo Duterte.
Advincula earlier admitted that he is the whistleblower “Bikoy”
featured in the video series, implicating Duterte’s family members and some business partners in the
illegal drug syndicate which he later on recanted.
Advincula resurfaced after the election changing his
initial allegations. He claimed seeing Robredo in a meeting with the
oppositions about the plot.
“Robredo may be impeached from office if it turns out upon
investigation that she was involved in a plot to oust President Rodrigo
Duterte,” Luna said.
Luna cited that Robredo’s alleged involvement in an ouster plot
can be considered as an impeachable offense.
“If Advincula could substantiate his claim and his statement
will be corroborated by another witness or material evidence, Robredo may face
impeachment in no time,” the PACC official said
Meanwhile, Robredo has denied the accusations made by Advincula.
