Vice President Leni Robredo has appealed to the public to
stop demeaning others amid the frustration felt by some over the results of the
recent 2019 midterm elections.
In her Twitter post on Wednesday, Robredo said the time
after the election is the most crucial time for others.
“Let us not resort to name-calling, demeaning our fellow
Filipinos that—at this most crucial time—are the ones we need to reach out to
and connect with all the more,” Robredo said
“Things may not be going our way, but a bigger battle calls
on us to be strong and still be kind. Lalaban pa rin [Philippine flag emoji],” she
added
Robredo’s camp has also suffered loss after none from Otso
Diretso bets made it to the winning circle of Magic 12.
As the chair of Liberal Party, the vice president campaigned
hard for Otso Diretso senatorial slate.
Only reelectionist Bam Aquino was fighting it out for the
12th and last winning slot with 94 percent of votes tallied, based on the
voting results.
Mar Roxas ranked 17th while the rest of the bets
were outside the top 20.
