Manila, Philippines - President Rodrigo Duterte has a new accusation against
outgoing opposition Senator Antonio Trillanes IV as being homosexual.
The Chief Executive said on Friday, June 21, at the
inauguration of new LGU officials in Davao City, that the former soldier, now
Senator is actually gay.
“Nanonood ako ng TV sa ano– sa sala, sa bahay
ko. May ano ba yung mga waiter ko. Sabi niya, nakita niya si Trillanes
nagayawyaw. Sabi niya, ‘huwag mong pansinin ‘yan siya.’ ‘O bakit? Hindi ko man
pinapansin ‘yan.’ ‘Sir bakla man ‘yan,'” the President mentioned during the oath taking
of his children Sara, Paolo and Sebastian as local officials.
This was also confirmed by the waiter that served the
commander in chief during the said event.
“Sabi ko, totoo ka?’
‘Sir, sure ako bakla ‘yan. Magtanong ka na bakla, kung mag-asta ‘yan,” he added.
Despite having said that to his avid opponent as being gay,
he expressed no bad intentions against homosexuals.
He even once got into a fight defending for his gay
roommates from bullies while he was still in college in Manila.
The President even said that the
LGBT members should not be ashamed of anything. He said that it was because God
created all human beings, no matter what their gender is.
