For opposition senator Antonio Trillanes IV, incoming
senator Imee Marcos was being a hypocrite for planning an Igorot ritual to the office that he is about to vacate once his term is over.
Trillanes said he accepts Marcos’ plan if it would help her
perform her job as legislator well but called the lady senator “hypocrite” if
she was implying that he is a "bad person."
"If the religious ritual is meant to help her fulfill
her mandate as a newly elected Senator, then that’s a good thing," Trillanes
said
"But if she’s saying it to insinuate na masama akong
tao, then sobrang ka-ipokritohan naman yun (that I am a bad person, then that's
too hypocritical), even for a Marcos." He added
Earlier, Marcos announced that Trillanes’ office will be
given to her and that she would perform a ritual before moving to her new
office.
Sabi bunutan eh,” Marcos said as reported by
ABS CBN
She cited that Trillanes could also join the ritual dance to
make it more effective.
She said
