Manila,
Philippines – Former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III said he feels that
Filipinos are looking for inspiration as he commemorates the 10th
death anniversary of her mother, former President Corazon Aquino.
“Habang lalong
Nonoy said when asked after the mass for Cory at the Manila Memorial
Park on August 1.
Noynoy was referring to the current issues the Duterte
administration is facing though he did not specify which issues he was pointing
at but it may be the alleged human rights abuses, massive corruption and China’s invasion of West
Philippine Sea.
said.
For Noynoy, even after the death of her mother, she continues to
bring inspiration to the people to fight for what is right for our country, “that no matter the challenges we face…once
upon a time, we overcame what we seemed impossible.”
Siguro kung gaano man kadilim ‘yung parang imposible
nagawa gaano man, kaimposible,” Noy added.
However, Noy said Filipinos can now forget why
the country needed a person like Cory, her mother has achieved all her dreams for
our country after all her sacrifices, considering the democracy and economic
progress we have in the last 30 years.
“Puwede sabihin na nagbunga lahat ng pinaghirapan niya,” he added.
