Manila, Philippines - Latest survey conducted by Pulse Asia nationwide showed the
trust and approval ratings of both President Rodrigo Duterte and Vice President
Leni Robredo improved.
President Duterte's approval and trust ratings went up to
87% and 83%, respectively, which are both 9% higher than his ratings in
September.
While Vice President Robredo got an approval rating of 58%, jumped
by eight percent from September to 58 percent in December. Her trust rating
also increased by seven percent to 53 percent from 46%.
Duterte received the highest trust and approval rating in
his territory, Mindanao, at 98 percent, while Leni’s results were highest in
the Visayas at 63%.
Malacañang welcomed the survey results, noting that only 5%
of the respondents disapproved of Duterte.
"The figures of
the survey graphically show how the Filipino people are united in cementing
their support to PRRD, and in agreement with the government programs geared
toward uplifting the social and economic condition of the masses of our
people." said presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo.
"This latest
approval rating is a clear repudiation of the fabricated tale and the false
narratives of the haters of the President including the foreign entities that
have joined the fray with blinders in their eyes," Panelo added.
Pulse Asia conducted the survey from December 3 to 8 with
1,200 respondents nationwide.
