Senator Grace Poe is stepping in to seek for probe regarding
ABS CBN’s franchise renewal bid if indeed, there is a “serious” allegations
against the media giant.

Services, called for a hearing after Solicitor General Jose Calida asked the
Supreme Court to revoke ABS-CBN's franchise citing several violations by filing
a quo warranto petition.

"compliance with the terms and and conditions of its franchise."

franchise and not just ABS-CBN, as mandated by the Constitution and the Senate
Rules,” the senator said
“Due to the gravity of the allegations and its possible
effects, the Committee has deemed it appropriate to lay the groundwork for a
possible inquiry in the spirit of public interest,” Poe said.

it did not break the law.
ABS CBN’s franchise is set to expire on March 30, 2020.There
are also 11 pending bills with the House of Representative for the broadcast
